01Overview

Calcully is a calculator app for loans, investments, tax, insurance, and everyday math. It's built to work fully offline, and it's designed so that as little of your information as possible ever needs to leave your device.

This page explains what data Calcully touches, what we do with it, and what stays under your control. It applies to the Calcully app on Android and iOS, and to this website (calcully.in).

02No account, no login

Calcully doesn't ask you to sign up or log in. There's no username, password, or profile tied to your identity. The app works anonymously — internally it uses a random, non-identifying installation ID so your subscription status and settings stay attached to your device, not to you personally.

03Data stored on your device

When you use a calculator, save a result, build a history, mark a favorite, or set up a Company Profile in Sales Mode (Enterprise), that information is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to Calcully's servers, because Calcully doesn't operate a server that stores your calculations.

  • Calculation inputs and results — the numbers you enter and the outputs Calcully shows you.
  • Saved calculations and history — kept locally so you can revisit them.
  • Sales Mode data (Enterprise) — Company Profile, Sales Executives, and Customer details you enter are stored on the device of the person who entered them, same as any other calculation.
If you enter customer or third-party personal data into Sales Mode, you're responsible for having a lawful basis and, where required, that person's consent to store and use their information — see the Enterprise section of our Terms of Use.

04Purchases and subscriptions

Premium and Enterprise subscriptions are sold and billed entirely through Google Play or the Apple App Store — Calcully never sees or stores your card details. To check what you're entitled to (Free, Premium, or Enterprise) and keep that in sync across the app, we use RevenueCat, a subscription-management service. RevenueCat receives a purchase receipt / token from Apple or Google and your anonymous installation ID — not your name, email, or payment information.

You can review Google's and Apple's own privacy terms for how they handle payment information, since that part of the transaction happens on their platforms, not ours.

05Advertising on the Free tier

The Free tier of Calcully shows ads, served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers (such as your Android Advertising ID or Apple's IDFA) to show and measure ads, and may use this for basic ad personalization, subject to your device's ad settings.

Premium and Enterprise subscribers don't see ads, and AdMob is not active for those tiers.

You can reset or limit your device's advertising identifier, or opt out of personalized ads entirely, from your phone's system settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads on iOS, or Settings → Ads on Android).

06When you choose to share something

Some features only send data off your device because you specifically asked them to:

  • PDF reports and result images (Premium/Enterprise) are generated and saved to your device; sharing them (e.g. over WhatsApp or email) uses your phone's own share sheet — Calcully doesn't route that through its own servers.
  • Enterprise Proposals you choose to share with a customer are sent the same way — through your device's share sheet, to the recipient you pick.

07Children's privacy

Calcully is a general financial and utility calculation tool and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at app@calcully.in and we'll address it.

08Your choices

  • Delete your data — clearing the app's storage or uninstalling Calcully removes all locally saved calculations, history, and Sales Mode data from that device.
  • Manage your subscription — handled entirely through your Google Play or App Store account settings, including cancellation and refund requests.
  • Ad personalization — controlled through your device's system-level ad settings, as described above.

09Data retention

Because your calculations and history live on your device rather than on a Calcully server, they're retained for as long as you keep the app installed and don't clear its data — and removed as soon as you uninstall the app or clear its storage. Subscription/entitlement records held by RevenueCat are retained per RevenueCat's own retention practices.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Calcully's features change — for example, if we introduce optional cloud sync in the future, this page will be updated first to reflect exactly what that means for your data. We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever we make a change, and material changes will also be reflected in the app's release notes.
